Pantry Distribution

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
The Center, 400 S. Terrell Hwy, Kaufman, TX

Volunteering at our food pantry involves providing essential support to those in need by helping distribute food. Volunteers also assist with packing groceries, greeting visitors, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Join us in making a difference!

Mobile Distribution

3rd Wednesday of each month, 8:30 am -11:30 am
FBC Kaufman, 2000 W Fair St., Kaufman, TX

Volunteering for our mobile food distribution involves delivering food directly to families in need across various locations. Volunteers help load and distribute food items. It’s a hands-on opportunity to provide vital support to those who may not have access to our pantry.

Pantry Stocking

Mon, Wed, and Fri, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Volunteering to restock the pantry is a vital role that helps keep our shelves full and organized. Responsibilities include unpacking deliveries, sorting items by category, checking expiration dates, and maintaining a clean, orderly space. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our pantry remains stocked and ready to serve the community, providing families with the essentials they need.

Retail Drivers

Mon, Wed, and Fri

and various local retail locations

Volunteering as a driver plays a crucial role in keeping our food pantry well-stocked and ready to meet the needs of those we serve. Drivers are responsible for picking up donated food and pantry items from local retailers and safely delivering them to our facility. This position requires a pickup truck or large SUV, as well as the ability to lift at least 25 lbs., to help load and unload deliveries.

On your volunteer day:

  • What to wear?

    Wear appropriate and comfortable clothing. Closed-toed shoes are required.

  • Check-in

    Please sign in and out at the front desk. If you are doing community service see the front desk for instructions on signing your paperwork.

  • Follow Instructions

    Follow direction of site supervisor.

  • Limitations

    Please let a staff member know if you have any limitations so we can accommodate (lifting, stocking, walking, etc).

  • Extras

    On Pantry and Mobile Distribution days, we occasionally have extra perishable items such as baked goods that may be available for you to take home. All food must be properly accounted for so please check with the front desk before taking anything and please do not take food without permission.
