Group Volunteer Opportunities

We have multiple opportunities and ways to volunteer. You can join our neighborhood food drive, participate in a neighbor information drop or volunteer with our partners at the North Texas Food Bank.

Join our Neighborhood Food Drive!

When you choose to join the Neighborhood Food Drive, you will be making a direct impact on the lives of individuals and families in your community who are struggling with hunger. Your participation helps ensure that our neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need to stay healthy and strong.

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Distribute Flyers: We will provide you with flyers to deliver to your assigned neighborhood. Your team will distribute these flyers to every house in the area. The flyers will include information about The Center and the scheduled pick-up date for the food drive.
  2. Pick Up Food: A few days later, your team will return to the neighborhood to collect the food donations that neighbors have left out on their porches.
  3. Stock the Donations: On the pick-up day (or another designated day), your team will bring the collected food donations to The Center and help stock them on shelves.

For large groups, you can participate in all three steps. For smaller groups, we can pair you with another small group, allowing you to choose one or two steps to complete.

Volunteer for the Neighborhood Information Drop

Jump in and help with our Neighborhood Info Drop! Many of our neighbors are unaware of the food pantry and the many other resources we offer—help us spread the word!

HOW IT WORKS:

  1. Gather your team. Your team with meet up at The Center where we will provide you with informational flyers & a map to your assigned neighborhood.
  2. Share the info. After you receive your flyers & map, your team will head out to the neighborhood & drop flyers at each individual home.

Lend a hand with our partners at the North Texas Food Bank

Volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank and make a double impact! First, you’ll assist NTFB in sorting and packing food that will be distributed to The Center and other local food pantries. Second, your volunteer hours will earn credit for The Center, which we can use to restock our shelves.
