I’m Richard Dunn and I became the Executive Director of the Kaufman Christian Help Center in August of 2017. I served on the Board of Directors for The Center since 2010 and was Associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman for nine years.
My wife and I have been ministering in the areas of youth, children, family, worship and discipleship since 1981. My desire is to tell people about Jesus and teach them to worship God daily in their life, living by biblical perspective in all we do.
I have been married to my wife and ministry partner, Paula for thirty seven years, we have three chidren and seven grandchildren. I am an avid baseball fan and follow my beloved Texas Rangers, win or lose!
I’m Martha Maurer and I am the Pantry Manager for the Kaufman Christian Help Center. I have been the Pantry Manager for the past 7 years and have been with the Center for a total of 10 years. My husband, Joe Butter, has also been volunteering with me for the past 4 years upon his retirement. I retired from the infections and disease department from UT Southwestern Medical School. I love to quilt and often go on retreats with my quilting friends. I am also a huge animal lover! I have my own farm to raise cows and I even carry dog food in my car to feed strays. My duties at the Center include, ordering food, address all matters concerning the North Texas Food Bank, oversee all volunteers, and overall ensure that the food pantry operates efficiently.
